Paris Fashion Week has been ongoing this past week with the expected and glamorous parade of chic cuts that are endemic to the fashion houses gracing our envious radars. Last night at the Grand Palais, it was H&M Studio’s turn to strut their wares. H&M Studio is the new name for H&M’s seasonal collection of key pieces and home to a dedicated design team who are on hand to create a limited edition collection for upcoming seasons comprised of statement pieces and the hottest looks. Wearable and affordable we’re already picking out the items worth the AM queue.
The catwalk was a mix of feminine and masculine. Nonchalance was the watchword with flowing slip dresses, a selection of always on trend biker jackets, oversized fake fur coats and draped tops – dare we call time on the midriff trend? H&M Studio is “about taking the Parisian spirit and bringing it to the H&M world,” according to Ann-Sofie Johansson, one of the heads of design at H&M Studio. And when the FROW attracts such stylishly put together women like Jessica Alba, Miranda Kerr and Olivia Palermo you’re only choice is to follow the fashionable flock.
The collection launches September 4th online and in certain stores. See our gallery above for the the sleek runway, backstage shots and beauty looks.
