We’re on day 3 of London Fashion Week, and a host of designers have already showcased their incredible SS16 collections. From Orla Kiely,?Simone Rocha?to the chic stylings of the LFW bloggers, the gorgeous fashion has made our eyes water. What we see on the runways are polished, impeccable outfits, and this can make it easy to forget the surging energy that goes on behind the scenes. Backstage is crowded, loud, and once the show starts, it is inevitable that pandemonium will follow as the final all-important details are being added. Models are being sewn into their outfits, hair and make-up staff are flat out and then, with one snap, we get a moment of magic. A pair of killer designer shoes up close and personal, locks?gracefully tumbling out of a detailed hair piece, a model taking time out to read a book before she hits the catwalk or another looking quite fed up to have six people pulling at her hair – the devil is always in the finer details. It’s these moments that encapsulate all that is unique about fashion week and make quite a few of us mortal onlookers yearn to be a part of it. It’s not called FOMO for nothing you know…
