Forget the Bikini, This Is The Only Two-Piece You’ll Need This Season

Forget the Bikini, This Is The Only Two-Piece You’ll Need This Season

As we start to near the end of summer and brace ourselves for the inevitable cold Irish winter, it’s time to say a hesitant farewell to those key pieces that have served us so well for the warmer months; lightweight ruffled dresses; trusty off the shoulder blouses and anything that requires a bare leg.

But it’s not all bad news. Be prepared to take on the new season like a boss with some seriously cool masculine vibes fresh off the catwalk. Designers such as Stella McCartney and Balenciaga have reintroduced the classic checked gray suit back into our lives and our wardrobes, and it’s looking chicer than ever. Worn tailored or?oversized, this is a trend that can work for both the office and the evening: paired with ankle boots and a simple shirt for day and strappy heels and some statement earrings for night. Double duty dressing has never looked so good.

Check out our picks of the best high street takes on the trend below.

Prince of Wales?blazer, €69.95 and checked?trousers, €35.95 both at Mango

Double breasted?jacket, €69.95 and straight checked?trousers, €39.95 both at Zara

Checked?blazer, €89 and tapered leg?trousers, €68 at Topshop
