In a country where summer seems to come and go in the blink of an eye, you’d think we’d dread the inevitable turn in the weather as August draws to a close. Not so in the world of fashion; autumn is perhaps or favourite time of year. Chunky knits, the luxury of layering, contrasting textures, rich, autumnal colours and beautiful boots – we can’t get enough of it (minus the rain).
With high street stores absolutely nailing the trends of the catwalks, updating your wardrobe for autumn/winter doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. And with the likes of Penneys blazing a trail towards cosy, autumnal nights, it’s never been easier or more affordable.
As A/W 14 rolls around, Penneys are gearing up to?travel into the great unknown. From Nordic tranquility to Slavic folkore; 60’s silhouettes to 80’s mod revival; workwear to sportswear – this season they’re all about dressing for an adventure.?
What can you expect? Everything from retro classics to khaki colours and plush parkas, chunky ankle boots and soft wools, pretty winter pastels versus striking animal prints and a masculine, minimalist aesthetic. Safe to say we’re excited for crunching leaves and a chill in the air. Are you?
Well played, Penneys, well played.
