The Best Animal-Motif Items To Covet Now

From quirky to chic, animal-inspired motifs are gracing the clothes of designers from Gucci to Valentino. Less expensive versions are’sure to arrive on a?high-street near you pretty soon. In the meantime, check out these designer?favourites.

While designing at Chloe, Stella McCartney became famous for her equestrian motifs. For AW, she’s returned to her roots, introducing exquisite, painterly-like images of horses onto sweaters and tops. This beautiful piece will never date.

Everything about Gucci is statement-making at the moment, but this Lion sweater has real punch. The motif is framed against a figurative explosion for added wow factor. Worn over black skinny jeans, this piece will look fantastic.

The price may be obscene, but this’mirror-effect panther motif jacket is fabulous. I’m mot sure it’s worth the price of a deposit on an apartment though…

A more subtle take on the trend is offered by this DSquared2 sweater. The?cute wildlife?animals?appear more as sketches or illustrations. With it’s slightly cropped style, it would look great paired with high-waisted trousers or a pleated skirt.
