12 summer hats to snap up before the season ends

12 summer hats to snap up before the season ends

I’ve never much considered myself a ‘hat’ person. I’ve got a deceptively large head and any type of ostentatious accessory on it tends to draw the wrong kind of attention. But this year, among many other sartorial wins since beginning work at IMAGE, I began to finally see the benefits of a good headpiece. They cover up bad hair days, they always make your fringe sit just right on your forehead and, most importantly, they’re fun. 2018 has truly been the year that the pearly gates of Hat Heaven opened to me, and I’m never looking back. Mostly because I can’t, you know, because of the big brim covering my eyes.

Summer is slowly drawing to an end and we’ve been blessed so far with some pretty stellar weather. While it’s unclear as of yet whether we’ll be enjoying another heatwave any time soon, the hat has definitely made its mark as a must-have during the hot summer months. Covering your scalp from burning and providing another shield to your face from the sun, the humble head coverer has hurtled back onto the high street in a big way over the past few weeks. Straw hats, woven hats, fedora hats, boater hats – this accessory is not just for covering your ears come winter.

Here, we’ve rounded up 12 of the most perfect internet hats for this last month of summer, so that you can see the sunshine out in style.
