Mad For Marni

I love the clothes that Consuelo Castiglioni designs, so there was no real surprise that I love this fragrance too. It’s a subtle, sophisticated scent that contains an unusual mix of both masculine and feminine notes. Spice (pepper, ginger), wood (vetiver, cedar) and rose notes combine to create this bold fragrance that I feel may be quite polarising – when I was wearing it last, my friend said it smelt vaguely ‘old ladyish’, but I think it’s utterly current and gorgeous! So if I am channelling ‘old lady’, I’m going for a sexy, worldy-wise, witty old woman rather than the old blue-rinse, brown skirt, flesh tights type.
