Cheryl Tweedy tells us about her skincare hacks, her go-to products and feeling beautiful

In the October issue of IMAGE Magazine, out now, Cheryl Tweedy tells Holly O’Neill about her skincare hacks, her go-to products and feeling more beautiful now than ever before.

MY GO-TO HAIR TOOLS AND PRODUCTS ARE… Cheryl x Easilocks for extensions, coconut oil for general hydration, and I love the Klorane Dry Shampoo, €10.99. I never travel without a TangleTeezer, €14.50. I take Lumity supplements, from €84, for my hair and skin every morning too.

Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm, €40Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm, €40,Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm, €40,

Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm, €40

THREE PRODUCTS I ALWAYS HAVE IN MY MAKE-UP BAG ARE… Omorovicza Perfecting Lip Balm, €40, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, and a bronzer, but they change regularly. I carry half the house in my bag.

MY ONE DESERT ISLAND ESSENTIAL IS… Bio-Oil, €12.50 – I love it and use it for my hair, skin, face and even on my son, Bear.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Rescue Cream, €120

A PRODUCT THAT’S ALWAYS ON MY NIGHTSTAND IS… Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Rescue Cream – it works wonders on my skin.

THE FIRST THING I PUT ON MY SKIN IN THE MORNING IS… SPF 50. I love Omorovicza, particularly the Miracle Facial Oil, €90. I also love Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream – you can get a dewy lip, eye and cheek from it, so it’s great if you’re rushing out the door.

THE LAST BEAUTY-RELATED THING I DO BEFORE BED IS… My bath routine. Bear has now cut out his afternoon nap, so I have more time to have a bath before bed and more of a beauty routine. I change it up with different oils and serums depending on what my skin feels it needs. I always cleanse and try to exfoliate twice a week. I recently discovered AlumierMD products, and they’re my favourites at the moment – I use the AluminEye cream.

MY SIGNATURE SCENTS ARE… Jour d’Hermes, €135 for 85ml, and my original StormFlower scent, €20 for 100ml.

EVERYONE SHOULD TRY… My Cheryl x Easilocks clip-in extensions. You get a straight style in short and long lengths, and a wavy style in short and long lengths, all in one box, so it is so easy to change your look up from day to day. They have made my hair routine so easy. I experienced hair loss with pregnancy, and the side clip-in pieces that come with the product work amazingly to give you a fuller look.

THE BEAUTY APPOINTMENT I NEVER MISS IS… My facials. I’ve been having them regularly since I was about 26, and we use a method that’s like taking your face to the gym. She works my muscles deeply, and I always feel refreshed afterwards.Dr Barbara Sturm Rich Face Cream, €155

I TAKE MY MAKE-UP OFF WITH… An oil-based make-up remover, unless I have tan on. I wear moisturiser by Dr Barbara Sturm, €155.

TO ME, BEING HEALTHY MEANS… Having a good circle of positive people around you, doing a form of exercise you love to help with body and mind (for me, that is yoga, dancing or at-home workouts), self-care and finding balance in your daily life.

THE BEST BEAUTY ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED WAS… Prepping the skin is essential to how your make-up turns out. I love to use a face mask and eye mask before I start my make-up. Hair-wise, I use sulphate-free products, which helps keep hair and extensions in better condition.

MAC Studio Face & Body, €32

THE FOUNDATION I ALWAYS RETURN TO IS… MAC Studio Face & Body, €32, particularly when my skin is in good condition and I need less coverage. I have several shades for when I’m more tanned or fair. It’s light, and it gives you an even skin tone.

I FEEL MOST BEAUTIFUL… Now, as a mother. It’s incredible to think that we can grow another human and have the power to raise that human to be the best they can be. Women are amazing!
