Like everything from tie-dye to skinny brows, athleisure is the latest fashion category to undergo a 90s revival, with oversized proportions, collegiate fonts, varsity colour palettes and a retro spin found in all the trending loungewear. Looking for chic and comfy new separates to ease you back into normal life? These five brands are having a moment.

Sporty and Rich
Sporty and Rich by Emily Oberg began as an Instagram moodboard before it became an athlesiure brand inspired by country club wardrobes and the style of legendary professional athletes and style icons – think Princess Diana jogging in a Harvard jumper and bicycle shorts or the Kennedys playing football at home and you’ve got the right idea.
Rotate Sunday
Created by Scandi fashion royalty Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars, founders of cult Copenhagen brand Rotate Birger Christensen, Rotate Sunday is the brand’s first foray into loungewear since they launched in 2018. It’s a collection of cozy, chic separates that feel just as at-home on the couch or on your Zoom call as they do with heels at Copenhagen Fashion Week, if you’re as brave as the Rotate founders.
Pangaia
Pangaia’s rainbow shades of joggers and sweatshirts have taken over Instagram since the world started working full time from the couch and they create with the planet in mind, working to become an “Earth positive” business, with materials made of everything from hemp and nettle denim to grape leather.

Anine Bing
Anine Bing’s model-off-duty elevated basics and laid-back essentials that are equal parts Scandi cool and quintessentially LA now includes Anine Bing Sport, with slouchy sweatshirts, smart leggings, trainers and chic accessories that makes loungewear feel luxe.

Sleeper
Sleeper’s feathery trimmed and ruffled pyjamas may have been made for festive seasons spent in a pandemic but they’re so beautiful that they make spending all day in pjs feel more luxurious than lazy.
