15 highstreet wedding dresses for under €500

Getting married in 2021 is stressful enough, keep your options (and your budget) open with these highstreet wedding dresses for under €500.

If you were (or still are)hoping to get married in 2021, finding a wedding dress is probably not top of your priority list.

Maybe you’re trying to wrangle as many vendors as you can into a new date in the hope that you only lose some of your deposit. Maybe you’re trying to downsize on your wedding and looking for smaller, open-air venues. Maybe you’re waiting to see when your sister might be allowed to fly across the world so she can be your witness. Or maybe you’re hounding the currently closed passport office because you need an in-date passport to apply for a marriage license. Like I said, you have bigger fish to fry right now.

Which is why investing in a highstreet wedding dress maybe isn’t a bad idea. For starters, most bridal salons require at least six months to get a made-to-order dress in and you need to find “the one” and get measured up before then. The likelihood of an appointment before the end of May is low (remember, salons will have a backlog of cancelled appointments that they’ll need to reschedule first) so if you’re getting married between now and November, it’s not really an option.

There’s also the cost implication. Do you want to spend €1,500 + on a dress that you might be wearing to your dream wedding, but also to the registry office followed by a dinner at your parent’s house? A big dress deserves a big occasion and you just can’t guarantee that right now. Buying a cheaper dress that has the potential to save you some cash and decrease the weight of wedding expectation is no harm.

We’ve rounded up some of the most gorgeous highstreet wedding dresses we could find, and there’s more and more out there every day. Fashion brands like Rixo and Kitri are launching their own bridal collections in response to the slew of customers looking for more casual white attire.
