Nestled in a small fishing village just 10km north of Clifden town, Harbour House is a charming property surrounded by the rugged natural beauty of Connemara.

Only a few metres away from Cleggan Pier, Harbour House overlooks the picturesque Cleggan Village, a popular tourist and fishing village located in a highly scenic area of the beautiful Connemara.

Currently being run as an upmarket guest house, the accommodation consists of a cosy and welcoming kitchen/dining room, a separate dining room, utility room, office and W.C. downstairs. On the first floor, there is a large and newly decorated living room and five ensuite bedrooms. Three further bedrooms can be found on the second floor, one of which enjoys a stylish new bathroom suite as well as a walk-in wardrobe and sauna.

A tiled entrance hall greets you upon entering, with carpeted stairs leading upstairs. The dining room—located just off the hallway—is a spacious room with warm wooden flooring, an open fireplace and panelling along the walls.

In the kitchen, cabinets have been fitted at both high and low levels, offering plenty of storage space. A marble-topped island and sink sit in the centre of the room, with chairs providing additional seating. The living room is fresh and contemporary with tasteful furnishings and an open fire.

A balcony on the gable of the house on the first floor boasts incredible views of the bay, the 19th-century Nimmo’s pier and the colourful village nearby.

Outside, there is a courtyard and a separate, newly-built one-bedroom studio with ensuite. This unit has its own private access and would make an ideal guesthouse or rental option. There is also ample off-road parking for multiple cars. The gardens feature a lovely lawned, area, easy to maintain.

Currently on the market for €695,000, viewing is by appointment only and can be organised via Matt O’Sullivan Auctioneers who the property is on sale through. In the meantime, take a tour of this beautiful Galway home in our gallery below.
