These gorgeous pots will zhuzh up even a slightly sad houseplant

These gorgeous pots will zhuzh up even a slightly sad houseplant

No one will notice the odd yellow leaf when your beautiful pot is stealing all the attention.

Houseplant parenthood can be something of a rollercoaster. One minute you’re admiring your plant’s glossy leaves, then seemingly the next they’ve dropped to the floor, or are turning brown.

I’m not here to tell you how to look after your plants (although if you’re anything like me, you’re probably overwatering them), but I am here to tell you that you should look up the conditions they actually like before falling into despair at your inability to keep this small green thing alive.

If all else fails, a gorgeous pot will compensate for less than perfect leaves. Of course, a gorgeous pot looks just as good with a healthy plant, so if you are an accomplished plant parent, please skip ahead to the pots.

The style you go for will probably depend on your home’s decor, so we’ve found everything from colourful options to earthy-toned designs.

Go for a pot that complements your existing colour scheme for a cohesive look, or use it as an excuse to introduce a pop of colour into a neutral space.

Shades found in the natural world work particularly well with the many shades of green that plants come in, and give an organic, laid-back look.

Adding a subtle touch of pattern, the delicate designs of these pots will add interest wherever they’re placed.
