Woman With ?Relentlessly Gay? Garden Gets Epic Revenge

Woman With ?Relentlessly Gay? Garden Gets Epic Revenge

A women in the United States who was told to tone down her ‘relentlessly gay? garden has gotten the best revenge possible, and vowed to make her yard ?even gayer.? She needs many more rainbows, apparently and people have come together to help her get them.

Julie Baker from Baltimore, Maryland simply decided to put beautiful-looking rainbow-coloured solar light jars in her garden that spelt out ?Love? and ?Ohana? (a Hawaiian word for family), to brighten up the place a bit as you would, in fact, it was a rainbow craft project she made with her daughters, which we think looks brilliant. However, her choice of garden d?cor didn’t go down well with everyone. She soon received what we think is a rather shocking note from one of her neighbors.

ICYMI: Ireland Says Yes To Same-Sex Marriage

?Dear Resident, your garden is becoming Relentlessly Gay!,? the note said. ?Myself and Others in the neighborhood ask that you Tone it Down. This is a Christian area and there are Children. Keep it up and I will be forced to call the police on You! Your kind need to have respect for GOD. A concerned home owner. ?

ICYMI: Chris Pratt Demands Gender Equality

We know people will always have different opinions and are fully entitled to them, but we really think this is an appalling note to leave anyone. Never mind the mass of spelling and grammar errors that it’s clearly riddled with, imagine leaving this in somebody’s letterbox; we just think it’s shocking. However, this ends well because the mother-of-four responded in the best way possible.? She said she ?would not give in to hatred? and set up a special fundraising page in hopes of buying a ?Rainbow Roof? to make her house even more colourful and fabulous.

?I opened my door, and found a note from my neighbor. Regarding a set of rainbow jar solar lights hanging in my yard that spell out “Love” and “Ohana”, Julie wrote.? They informed me that the neighborhood is “christian” and has “children” and asked me to stop being “relentlessly gay”….

?Needless to say…? I need more rainbows… Many, many more rainbows?. So, I am starting this fundraiser so I can work to make my Home even More “relentlessly gay.” If we go high enough, I will see if I can get a Rainbow Roof! Because my invisible relentlessly gay rainbow dragon should live up there in style!?

?Put simply, I am a widow and the mother of four children, my youngest in high school and I WILL NOT Relent to Hatred. Instead, I will battle it with whimsy and beauty and laughter and love, wrapped around my home, yard and family!!!?

Her campaign has since gone viral had she has raised over $32,000, which is an incredible achievement. That’s definitely one way to not give in to the hatred and plain unpleasantness of others. We’re betting the neighbours didn’t expect that!

What do you think of Julie’s campaign? We’d love to see that Rainbow Roof be made a reality.
