It’s almost time! Here are a few lovely ways to spend this weekend with the family before the main man arrives. Merry Christmas from IMAGE!
Experience The Magic Of Christmas Here
If you’ve yet to experience the magic of Malahide Castle at Christmas then you’re in for a treat. What better way to prepare for the man in the big red suit than a gorgeous walk around the beautiful surroundings of the castle and sipping on a delicious hot choc? Running until December 23rd, this is a wonderful family event for anyone who treasures Christmas traditions. For more info click here.
Enjoy A Pre-Christmas Tipple Here
Experience the fun of alpine Après ski right in the heart of Dublin city (down at The IFSC, to be precise). Book a table with friends, tuck into a selection of delicious street food options (including veggie and vegan!) and enjoy a beer listening to live entertainment including a band and DJ until late. And, of course, expect plenty of retro ski gear and a couple of serious photo moments. Visit the Après ski lodge until December 23rd. Book your tickets here.
Visit The Live Crib Here
The annual live crib at Dublin’s Mansion House runs until Sunday, December 24th, and is a really spectacular way to get the kids (big and small) in the mood for Christmas Day. This magical crib will have live animals such as a donkey, goat and sheep there, all being taken care of and supplied by the Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA). Admission is free but donations are welcome to the Mansion House Fuel Fund which is the Lord Mayor’s personal Charity and all monies raised are distributed to those in need in the City through established charities including St. Vincent de Paul and Dublin Simon. Free entry daily from 11AM.
Enjoy Christmas Celebrations By The Sea Here
Dún Laoghaire Christmas Festival presented by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in association with the Dún Laoghaire BID Company brings its seasonal delights back to town until December 23rd. The Merry Christmas Market is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a feast for the senses featuring delicious festive fare, handcrafted gifts and decorations, a funfair with an old-world children’s carousel, and a whole host of very special tempting treats. Expect plenty of high-octane racing, fashion, locally-sourced food and a great atmosphere. For more info and to book your tickets click here.
