Wedding Trends 2018: The Slickest Stationery

Wedding Trends 2018: The Slickest Stationery

Stationery options are endless and designers and couples are getting more and more imaginative with them. Stationery suites are now totally the norm, with coordinated elements for everything from save the dates, rsvp cards, maps and gift registry notes all bundled together with wonderful creativity. We love one we got recently that had a map, RSVP card and invite bound together with simple cotton thread. So delicate.

The save the date is the first part of your wedding that guests will experience so it makes sense to put a lot of effort into getting it right and with so many options it’s a really fun intro to serious wedmin, too. Traditional printing methods like letterpress have always been popular (and more expensive) but never more than now and deckled edges are always a plus (they’re a sort of uneven, frayed finish). For 2018,  contrasting textures like vellum and acrylic make for the perfect marriage of old and new. Flow typographic elements through the whole event from save the dates to seating charts and thank you cards. Sage advice- think of this as an exercise in branding- you’re setting the tone for your unique event through collateral material.
