WATCH: Westlife reunite for first time in years in new social media video

Westlife have released a new video online, showing the foursome reuniting for the first time in years. It comes just nine days after the band announced they were getting back together.

The clip starts off with a shot of the band’s iconic high stools. One-by-one, each of the bandmates (Mark, Cian, Shane and Nicky) enter; greeting one another like old pals in a pub.

The video, which is black and white, has an element of humour to it. Nicky Byrne arrives late, saying he missed the train. Then the guys agree to ‘do it’ on the count of three; what ‘it’ is, we find out later.

When the count reaches three, Mark, Cian and Shane shout: “Hi, we’re Westlife!” Meanwhile, Nicky stands up to do the classic Westlife key-change/air-grab routine (much to the others’  amusement).

The video ends with a black screen and white text which reads, “Westlife. New music. New tour. Coming soon.”
