Taste of Dublin 2015

Taste of Dublin 2015

Dublin’s restaurant scene has been booming this past year. It seems that every week a new cult dining institution is founded in the heart of the city, with 3000 more seats in town now than three years ago.

In light of this, it seems only natural that Dublin’s annual foodie festival, Taste of Dublin, would be a must-attend event. The festival celebrated its tenth year running last weekend and all the stops were pulled out to mark the occasion. Within the gorgeous greenery of the capital’s Iveagh Gardens, the sun beamed down for four full days of frolics, food and fun as we sipped Taittinger champagne and endlessly visited the Ballymaloe tent for more cheese covered in the greatest relish known to mankind.

Amongst all the showcases of Irish-based cuisine institutions such as Pichet, Chapter One, Saba and The Exchequer was our Image stand that was swarmed by ladies and lads alike trying their hand at becoming an Image cover girl for our Twitter competition using the hashtag #tasteofimage. However, there could only be one lucky winner of our beauty hamper worth €200; here’s the winning tweet:

As well as the Twitter competition, we had amazing gifts on offer: the scrumptious new roasted sesame Lindt chocolate bar for the sweet-toothed, and Redkin’s Frizz Dismiss spray for the fuzzy-haired. ?Our Editor, Rosie McMeel, was also on hand as a judge for Taste of Dublin’s Style Afternoon.

Looking forward to next year!
