Now that Met Éireann has lifted all weather warnings for Ireland, we’re looking at some of the best photos and videos from the menacing Storm Dennis
Gusts of up to 120 km/hr were recorded in Galway as Storm Dennis swept the country this weekend. Not only did it leave 18,000 homes and businesses without power on Sunday afternoon, but people from all over Ireland reported sleepless nights as wind, rain and hail battered their windows.
While the ESB has restored power to the majority of those affected, there are still 2,400 waiting for theirs to be fixed. Now, as everyone gradually returns to life-as-normal this Monday, we’re looking back on some of the best photos and videos of the weekend gone by. From fallen trees to wild waves, here are our favourites:

High #Liffey waters, I don't think I've ever seen the Liffey this high. Definitely not recently anyway. #StormDennis pic.twitter.com/1tX9G8UgRX

Storm #StormDennis has already caused some damage. Thankfully the park rangers have done a great job clearing the route. The course is fine subject to an inspection on the day, as there is more wind and rain forecast. pic.twitter.com/DSCumwGMf5

This is Doolin harbour. I usually stand by the railing on the end, waiting on my ferry to work on the Aran Island. That horizon, is the next wave coming in. pic.twitter.com/OocJrxfEV6
