Social Pics: Guests at the first look of Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’

Famous Irish faces stepped out for an exclusive first look of Jordan Peele’s Us on Thursday evening at The Stella Theatre, Ranelagh. Guests were treated to a prosecco and canapé reception upon arrival and were among the first in the country to see the film before it hits cinemas across Ireland on March 22nd.

Guests in attendance included TV personality Baz Ashmawy, designer Brendan Courtney and RTE 2fm’s Stephen Byrne & Louise McSharry. Other guests in attendance included Rosemary McCabe, Ciara O’Doherty, Xposé’s Nadine Reid & Ireland AM’s Brianna Parkins

After sending shockwaves across contemporary culture and setting a new standard for provocative, socially-conscious horror films with his directorial debut, Get Out, Academy Award®-winning visionary Jordan Peele returns with another original nightmare that he has written, directed and produced.

Us currently has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes since it premiered at SXSW in Texas last Friday, March 8. Reviews raved about Lupita Nyong’o’s performance and cemented Jordan Peele as a risk-taking visionary filmmaker who delivers on his follow-up film to GET OUT.

Starring Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong’o and Black Panther’s Winston Duke, Us pits an endearing American family against a terrifying and uncanny opponent: doppelgängers of themselves.
