The Audi Dublin International Film Festival brings some of the world’s best new films to Dublin. This year's programme (the 16th) includes seven world premieres and a total of over 100 features, nearly all receiving their Irish premiere. Featuring an extraordinary red carpet line-up of on-screen talent and guest filmmakers, ADIFF is Ireland’s most prestigious film festival and sets the agenda for the year.
The launch of the Audi Dublin International Film Festival took place last night at The Lighthouse cinema Smithfield, where guests were welcomed with snipes of Moet Chandon and the much-anticipated overview of what to expect at this year's festival. Festival director Grainne Humphrey's enthusiasm was infectious as she went through her festival picks. Bill Pullman, Vanessa Redgrave, Paul Schrader, Cillian Murphy, Barry Keoghan, Lance Daly, Nora Twomey (Oscar-nominated director for The Breadwinner), Paddy Considine, Sandy Powell, and Lynne Ramsay lead an exquisite line-up of Irish and International film talent appearing from 21st Feb-4th March 2018).
The opening gala February 21st is the well-reviewed Black 47 starring Irish star on the rise Barry Keoghan and the closing film March 4th is French comedy C'est La Vie from the same people that brought you The Untouchables .
