RTÉ is looking for volunteers for their new fashion-focused reality show

RTÉ is calling on members of the Irish public to take part in its new fashion-focused reality show. The programme, which is aptly named The Fitting Room, aims to help sartorially-challenged men and women with their wardrobes. If you're the type of person who finds shopping stressful, fashion impossible and style-guides confusing, this is the show for you.

The premise is simple; fashion should be for everybody. We are all entitled to experiment with evolving trends and styles – regardless of our weight, height, and physical abilities. Why then, the show producers ask, in 2018 can't shops cater to more body shapes and sizes?

The Fitting Room

After all, fashion is not a 'one size fits all'. People with unusual body shapes and disabilities deserve more than what the high street has to offer. Even so-called 'normal' body shapes can be tough to dress. For that reason, RTÉ and DSP, the production company behind the project, want to help Irish people create unique outfits that fit and flatter their individual body shapes and styles.

RTÉ is asking frustrated shoppers to volunteer for The Fitting Room. "We have three, top Irish designers standing by to make you a bespoke outfit; the one you have always wanted." Whether it's a custom outfit for an upcoming wedding, your dream office-wear, or a fancy frock to wear on your birthday; they will tailor-make the outfit for you.

Do you want to take part, or do you know of anyone who'd be interested in getting involved? If so, email your name, age and contact number to Tracie O'Neill at [email protected] Remember to include a recent photograph of yourself and a brief description of why you’d like to take part in the show.

The closing date for entries is this Friday, 5th October 2018 – so don't delay, apply today.
