VENUE KILLRUDDERY HOUSE AND GARDENS IN CO WICKLOW AND SMOCK ALLEY, DUBLIN

PHOTOGRAPHY BROSNAN PHOTOGRAPHIC

WORDS KATIE PHELAN

THE HAPPY COUPLE: ?They are Jordan O’Day and Daniel Kemp . They live in Chicago and met when Jordan was studying abroad during her final year of high school.

Like two diplomats charged with the task of appeasing all sides, Jordan and Daniel chose the neutral counties of Wicklow and Dublin for their sweet celebration. Since their guests were always going to have to travel, the couple split the geographical difference and chose an Irish venue for their wedding. Jordan selected Killruddery House for its proximity to Dublin and it proved perfect. The Smock Alley venue was recommended by planners par excellence, Wedding Sparrow and Pearl and Godiva. Brides always say it, and we can’t agree more: planning a wedding from abroad can be a nightmare without professional assistance. The bash was captured in a timeless photo narrative by the ever-talented Christina Brosnan. From delicate lace details on the bride’s bodice to the intensity of the love shared by the couple, we can’t help but swoon.

THEIR TOP TIPS ?Negotiating a supplier’s price never hurts – as long as it is done in a respectful and reasonable way? ? Jordan.

Jordan’s stand-out ‘something blue? was a pair of drop earrings. Bold, yet totally beautiful

THEY WISH THEY HAD the chance to do it all over again without changing a single thing!
