Watch: Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis join ‘Clap For Carers’

People all over Ireland and the UK paused at 8 pm on Thursday to applaud frontline healthcare staff – and Princess Charlotte and her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis wanted to join in

With more than half a million confirmed cases of Covid-19 reported across the world, and with more than 24,000 deaths, healthcare workers are under more pressure than ever before.

As a thank you, and as a sign of support and recognition, people all over Ireland and the UK stepped away from whatever they were doing to ‘Clap for Carers’. At 8 pm on Thursday, they took to their gardens, balconies and front doors to applaud everyone working on the frontline during the pandemic.

Children got involved too, including Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis (the three children of Kate Middleton and Prince William).

In a post shared by Kensington Palace, the caption read, “To all the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, volunteers and other NHS staff working tirelessly to help those affected by COVID-19: thank you.”

The clip was filmed by the children’s father, Prince William, and shows the (almost) two-year-old Louis looking up to his siblings (aged four and six) for reassurance he’s doing the right thing. Cute.
