P.S. Meet Under The Clock?

P.S. Meet Under The Clock?

Ten years ago Cecelia Ahern arrived on the national radar with her debut novel P.S. I Love You, a tale about a bereaved wife overcoming the loss of the love of her life. Ostensibly another addiction to the already heavily populated Irish chick lit canon, her novel captured all the media attention with some crying nepotism due to her showbiz and political connections. Ahern went on to prove them all wrong. P.S. I Love You rocketed to bestseller lists around the world, it’s tale of love and loss translating seamlessly to every country. Hollywood came a-calling and, Gerard Butler’s accent withstanding, she is now responsible for a modern romantic comedy classic which will definitely be on one of your television channels this weekend.

Her oeuvre has swelled, sold like nobody’s business and she’s nailed her genre – think Maeve Binchy’s empathetic characters with a touch of Isabel Allende’s magical realism and add blockbuster success. Her much loved pen pal romance Where Rainbows End is due to be released as Love, Rosie this year and stars the beautiful coupling of Lily Collins and Sam Clafin. (One of our Image Daily staffers – moi- was lucky enough to get a gawk at the handsome pair when they were shooting in Ranelagh last year.)

So we’re pretty delighted to see that tomorrow, in the dearly beloved Clerys?from 12:30pm,?you can meet the author extraordinaire for a special signing of P.S. I Love You. The best-selling novel has been rereleased as a new beautiful special edition copy to mark the occasion and all. Save us a place in the queue?
