Dave Goldberg died in a tragic accident while holidaying in Mexico just eight weeks ago, at just 47 years of age. The death was sudden and shocking and the reaction to this tragic incident was one of pure disbelief.

Sandberg then shared a quote from a friend who described Goldberg as having "showed us all exactly what being a great human being looks like, but it was never frustrating because Dave's greatness was not competitive or threatening. Soon after her husband's death, Sheryl penned a heartbreaking and emotional public letter to him on social media (which went viral, getting over half a million clicks), detailing the profound effect his death would forever have on her life, and that of her children.

?I have lived thirty years in these thirty days. I am thirty years sadder. I feel like I am thirty years wiser. ?When people say to me, ?You and your children will find happiness again,? my heart tells me, Yes, I believe that, but I know I will never feel pure joy again. Those who have said, ?You will find a new normal, but it will never be as good? comfort me more because they know and speak the truth,? she continued.
