Michelle Obama has shared her workout playlist for 2020 — and we’re feeling it

Michelle Obama’s workout playlist for 2020 is here and all we want to do is run to the gym (literally)

I think at some point in our lives we have all wished we were like the Obamas.

Cool, calm and collected. Elegant without the stiffness and just the right amount of relatability.

Their appeal hasn’t wavered nor has the flame beneath their power burned out.

We still want to be like them.

Though it may be impossible to be them, there are ways in which we can subtly mimic them. Barack recently revealed his top movies and books of 2019, so we then watched and read everything he recommended.

Now, his wife Michelle has released her 2020 workout playlist and we are heading straight to the gym.

It has to be said Michelle has some true bangers on this list. Beyoncé and the Obamas have a close relationship as she performed at the presidential inauguration and partnered with Michelle on a campaign to fight childhood obesity. She appears on three tracks. The first is Apeshit by The Carters (with her husband Jay-Z), the second is Before I Let Go from her ‘Homecoming’ album and the third is Lose My Breath. The latter is a top-class tune recorded with Destiny’s Child.

The playlist is a mix of rap, R&B, hip-hop, dance and much more for an upbeat and energetic workout. Lizzo and Cardi B make an appearance, as does Childish Gambino and Calvin Harris. In addition to this, she has a cool down playlist too. Here, the sweet and sultry sounds of Sam Smith and Alicia Keyes will be on hand to prevent muscle spasms and locked knees.

See you on the treadmill.
