Let Ikea’s New Collab With Tom Dixon Solve Your Seating Woes

Who doesn’t love it when a designer collaborates with an affordable brand? Ikea and renowned British designer Tom Dixon have teamed up to create an innovative seating range that gives you the freedom to customise your sofa with clever options and accessories. Launching on February 1, the Delaktig range (meaning ‘being involved’ in Swedish) has grooves built in to its aluminium frame that allow you to change the position of armrests and backrests, or even add on the accompanying range of lamps, side tables, and privacy screens.

With multiple options from one sofa, it gives you the flexibility to change the layout of a room with ease, and the range comes in a stylish palette of grey, black and deep blue.

We love the idea of being able to clip-on a side table to rest a cup of coffee on, or a lamp for reading. You can also join up multiple platforms to create a larger seat that could equally be broken up into individual armchairs if needed.

Luis Lopes, Living Rooms Sales Leader at Ikea said: “We are really excited to be collaborating with Tom Dixon. Modular furniture is becoming ever-important in today’s homes and we wanted to create a range that could reflect people’s living needs and at the same time bring style to people’s homes.”

The Delaktig armchair platform starts from €300 and will be available from early February at ikea.ie
