Do something different this mid-term break with these free activities for every age

Where better to spend some quality family time than Kildare Village this mid-term break?

It’s that time of year where the children are off school and are looking to be entertained.

But the weather isn’t playing ball and all the activities you had planned are gone out the window.

Fear not, for Kildare Village is answering all of your parenting prayers with its workshops and Make and Do Studio. And the luxury shopping destination has made activities complimentary for all ages, so you can make forever memories.

What to do for kids

Arts and Crafts

Kildare Village is where art and fashion collide. As part of its ongoing collaboration with IMMA, which has previously seen a pop up of the IMMA Shop in the Village, selling limited edition prints, jewellery, art books and more, as well as the Desire: A Revision from the 20th Century to the Digital Age exhibition which brought fashion, art and culture together, the Village will host a Make and Do Studio encouraging little ones to get creative. Arts and Crafts takes place on Thursday, February 20 between 12pm midday and 5pm.

Pound Drumming

This drumming workshop incorporates music, movement and dance to get your little one moving. Unique fun no matter what the weather brings. This takes place on Friday, February 21, between 12pm midday and 5pm.

Lego Technics

Who doesn’t love Lego? This workshop encourages creativity and imagination through building. It takes place on Saturday, February 22, between 12pm midday and 5pm.

Science and Slime

Any parent that had the pleasure of having a slime set in the house at Christmas will know just how much fun this workshop will be… for your little ones! This may be one where either mum or dad heads to the boutiques. Albeit, a fun, slime-filled activity that excites and stimulates the minds of children of all ages awaits them on Sunday, February 23 between 12pm midday and 5pm.

When

Each drop-in workshop lasts approximately 45 minutes and no pre-booking is required. Each activity is free of charge, and children must be supervised at all times. All activities take place between 12pm midday and 5pm from Thursday, February 20 until Sunday, February 23.

What to do for parents

Paint and Prosecco

The fun isn’t just limited to children. Kildare Village is also hosting a Paint and Prosecco workshop on Sunday, March 1 in The Apartment. Get those creative juices flowing while sipping on bubbles from 12pm midday until 1.30pm. No painting experience is necessary, this is a workshop for all abilities. Tickets cost €10 each and can be purchased online here. Tickets are fully redeemable against a Kildare Village gift card.

Why Kildare Village?

The workshops is where the fun only begins at the Village. There are over 100 designer boutiques offering savings of up to 60% off the recommended retail price, all year round, across fashion, accessories, athleisure, children’s wear and homewares.

The Village is located just an hour outside of Dublin and offers a whole day’s entertainment for the whole family. From fine dining, to crêpes and coffee on the go, you can even bring your pet pooch and keep them in the on-site kennels until you’re all shopped out.

And if you really want to treat yourself, why not book in for valet parking so your car is spick and span to put all your new designer goodies into?
