Kids on midterm? Get ’em to make these strawberry+chia-sicles

Maybe it’s because they’re members of the rose family (little-known fact!), or maybe it’s because their perfumed flavour reminds us of childhood summers and pink-stained fingers, but we’re particularly fond of sweet, succulent strawberries. It doesn’t hurt that they’re also one of our favourite ways to build beauty from the inside, providing the cells with plumping hydration and anti-ageing polyphenol protection. We love blending them into this chilled treat, along with healing heavyweights beets and chia seeds. To get the most flavour from your fruit, we recommend using berries at peak freshness and ripeness. And for a rosy finish – and a mineral boost – add some of our Sakara Beauty Water Concentrate (which can be found on our website, Sakara.com).

Strawberry + Chia-Sicles

Makes about 12 large or 18 small pops

Ingredients
430g fresh or frozen strawberries, stemmed
400ml tin full-fat coconut milk
½ medium beet, peeled and diced
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp chia seeds
½ tsp pure vanilla extract

Method
In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend on high until smooth. Pour the mixture into ice pop moulds. Insert sticks and freeze for 2 to 3 hours, or until completely frozen. Store in the freezer for up to 1 month.
