Just one more til Easter: here's what to get up to this weekend

This time next week, we'll be relaxing at home at the beginning of a four-day weekend. Our legs are already starting to levitate to the feet up position. But until then, we have a whole weekend of fun to get through this week too. With events for music lovers, interiors lovers, and just plain old Irish arts lovers, here's where you need to be. Happy weekend from IMAGE!

Love finding new music and artists on your doorstep? MusicTown is a two-week party, celebrating diversity and collaboration in the best and brightest new artists in music. There are so many musical subcultures in Dublin right now, from opera to folk, and MusicTown is shining a light on them all. Featuring some unreal events, like an evening with Damien Dempsey, Blindboy's famed live podcasts, and an all-day, all-ages gig set up by Nialler9 and Seven Quarters, this is not one to miss.

All weekend: Get some ideas at the Ideal Home Show

Whether you've just moved into your new buy, or looking to bring some life to your rented room, the Ideal Home Show is a great place to spark ideas for home improvement. The event in the RDS covers absolutely everything that goes into the art of homemaking — from mortgage approval, to making it eco-friendly, to interior design and so much more. You can get lost in this place for hours, and tickets are just €15 on the door.

Saturday: Get some insight into Fóchultúr

Big fan of bass music? Even bigger fan of the bass music scene in Ireland? New print projects in Dublin are few and far between, and the launch of Fóchultúr tomorrow night in Wigwam is definitely a great night to show support to. The magazine aims to strengthen and shine a spotlight on the bass music community in Ireland, but it has something for everyone, with sections on Irish art and healthy living as well as tonnes of reading on music.
