What’s On: INTERLUDE At The RHA Set To Be Most Exciting City Festival Yet

Those that are grieving the end of festival season cheer up because it is not over yet. In what is set to be one of the most exciting city festivals we’ve seen, INTERLUDE At The RHA (located just off St Stephen’s Green), – taking place next weekend from October 23rd to the 25th – is a three-day music, movie and art event spread between seven of the galleries impressive rooms, and outdoor courtyard, with something to impress every pop culture fiend. This unique merge of music and art will showcase an eclectic mix of Live Acts, DJs and Movies over the course of the three days in the amazing setting of the RHA and promises attendees excitement, serious craic and a hell of a lot more.

Featuring a live music room, club space, cabaret cinema, cocktail club, craft beer bar, vinyl room and pop-up restaurant, this event promises to fill your bank holiday calendar to the brim with something totally new to the city – and we’re super excited about it.

Located just off St. Stephen’s Green in the centre of the city, The RHA, has, in recent years, been establishing itself as an alternative venue, playing host to a wide variety of bespoke events and parties for the art and music scene, so it is the perfect place for this new event.

The 600 square metre Gallery One is being transformed into the Cabaret Cinema for the weekend. The space will come alive with a giant HD screen, surround sound and will make the perfect place to lounge with a full bar and table service. The Cabaret Cinema will feature a selection of music-focused and independent movies such as Arcade Fire’s The Reflektor Tapes, Talking Heads – Stop Making Sense and the Academy Award Winning?Searching for Sugar Man. The latter?tells the story of early €70s musician, Rodriguez, who never quite made it?in the US but became a cult star?in South Africa (unbeknownst to him) and then was widely rumoured to have died. Two obsessed fans set out to learn the man’s true fate with surprising consequences.

?It’s been a really exciting event to put together, and one I’ve wanted to see happen for a long time. I fell in love with the RHA Gallery years ago while working on corporate events here; It’s the perfect layout for a mini-festival, with different spaces ranging from 100 to 1,000 in capacity, and right in the centre of the city,? Organiser of Interlude, DJ and Event Producer, Hugh Scully said.

?I’ve really enjoyed working with Hugh and the RHA on Interlude. The brief was ?Music and Art?. We’ve chosen quite an eclectic mix of DJs and Live acts,? added Booker, DJ and Music Consultant, Arveene.
