The Velveteen Rabbit, Cake Stand

We take a trip down the Rabbit hole?

Burrowed sweetly on Baggot Street, The Velveteen Rabbit is the latest pop-up venture to make us lose the run of our purse strings. Open until the first week of January – that’s our post-Christmas blues averted – the Velveteen Rabbit specializes in uniquely magical furniture and homewares. Prepare to be late for a very important date as you lose yourself amongst the perfect ingredients to add an otherworldly sense of wonderment and character to any event, especially your wedding.

What we really love about The Velveteen Rabbit is that you can hire pieces, as well as buying them. So, if you feel that your d?cor is lacking, peruse bespoke seating areas, vintage birdcages and Marie Antoinette-inspired dessert tables, to inject a hint of cool class. This means that you can transform any venue into the fairytale you’ve always dreamed of.

With a background in fashion design, and a knack for reupholstering and repurposing furniture, owner Zoe Carney revels in the experience of finding truly distinctive antique pieces, so that their story can be continued in a new setting. Carney is grateful for long days wandering through markets with her mom, which is where her curiosity for old objects began, something she hopes to share with people who wander into the Velveteen Rabbit.

For more d?cor inspiration pick up a copy of BASH Volume Five, on shelves now.
