Dublin Christmas

Halloween’s over, so get ready for your first winter weekend with What’s On

Love it or hate it, Halloween is over, and before we jump straight into the Christmas festivities (don’t worry – there’s plenty to come), take a break with all the great things coming up in Dublin. Happy weekend from IMAGE!

Tonight: Believe in life after love (sorry) with Cher at the 3Arena

That’s right folks — tickets are still floating around for the queen of autotune herself (in the best, most complimentary way possible) Cher tonight in Dublin’s 3Arena. This 73-year-old out-and-out powerhouse is an amazing performer, and her back catalogue of absolute tunes is the perfect way to kick off a weekend in Dublin. No doubt the afterparties will be stellar too. Tickets still available from €188.47.

All weekend: Experience the magical Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo

It’s finally back! One of Dublin’s best-loved wintery attractions has opened again to the public at Dublin Zoo, and we can’t wait to get our tickets. This year’s theme is Stories, Myths and Legends, and with appearances from stories like the Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and the Jungle Book, it’s sure to be one of the most memorable nights of your year. Tickets are sold out for Saturday but still available for tonight and Sunday (better hurry though, they’re selling out fast.) Free for under three’s, and €20 for adults.

On Sunday: Sit back and make your way through the complete series, with a Blade Runner double-bill at the Lighthouse

Warner Bros/ Sony Pictures

If you’re still feeling sci-fi vibes from Halloween, indulge them at the Lighthouse’s upcoming screening of the original Blade Runner and its sequel Blade Runner 2049, running as a double-bill on Sunday evening. Two epic sci-fi classics under one roof, it’s not to be missed if you’re a fan of the films. Tickets from €18.
