‘Wickedly good music’: HalloweenFM launches in Ireland today

HalloweenFM

HalloweenFM, Ireland’s first Halloween radio station, launches this week. Here’s everything you need to know

Do you love all things spooky? Are you a fan of chilling tunes? Your ideal, spine-chilling radio station is launching in Ireland.

HalloweenFM, brought to us by the same people behind ChristmasFM, is the country’s debut Halloween radio station. Launching at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 23, the station will be live for 10 days from halloweenFM.ie.

“This digital station promises to play wickedly good music and will be the soundtrack to all your Halloween celebrations,” organisers say.

“Listeners will get to enjoy a wide range of music from a mix of upbeat Halloween-inspired hits to a collection of spooky songs and classics”. We’re already counting on the Addams Family theme tune, the Ghostbusters theme tune, and Monster Mash.

What’s more, it’s expected we’ll hear a host of familiar voices presenting on the station for the 10-day period, ensuring we get in the Halloween mood. “We’re your music monster,” organisers say.

Halloween enthusiasts are already counting down the minutes ’til the launch, with some expressing on social media that they are “so excited for this” and “can’t wait”.

Which eerie songs are you most looking forward to hearing?

The ‘music monster’ is available from October 23 on halloweenFM.ie.
