Game of Thrones Star Happy To Get Naked

Michiel Huisman

Forget drippy English male politicians in grey t-shirts courtesy of ELLE – this is what a feminist looks like.

Michiel Huisman, pictured above, is one of the breakout stars of HBO drama Game of Thrones, with a legion of female fans propelling him and his handsome face and very toned body to the status of Obvious Sex Symbol. And he has no issue with all that objectification.

The actor plays Daario Naharis, the bodyguard and lover of Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targaryen and is one of the very few male actors who nearly bares all in a series criticised for it’s overuse of the male gaze and female nudity.

In an interview with Page Six, the actor talked about his role in the series and said of his character’s place in the hit show, ?I always liked that because the roles were reversed? Here’s a woman . . . taking full control over her pleasure, y?know? Telling a man to take off his clothes, where it’s often the other way around. I was happy to be a victim of that.?

Did you hear that Hollywood? Michiel is happy to right the sexist balance when it comes to skin on screen. He’s already building up a CV of romantic parts in movies like The Age of Adaline and was the mysterious man in Gisele’s dreamy Chanel advert. From henceforth cast him in everything, please.
