Festival of Curiosity

The first Festival of Curiosity has been taking place this weekend across the city, covering everything that might tickle one's fancy or make them scratch their head. As part of Dublin City of Science it has created a series of interactive events, talks and installations around science and culture that seek to open and challenge the most intrepid minds. Here's a looksy at what one might do today on the last day of the festival ?

Amazing Science // Temple Bar Gallery Going back to the first American science fiction magazine from 1926, Amazing science is an exhibition that combines graphic novels and writing with twenty-first century science - A cool way to learn the facts through the use of the colourful covers, illustrations and suspect scientific myths from the classic sci-fi mags.

Illusion // The Science Gallery Yet another clever trick by the Science Gallery, Illusion explores sensory deception by looking at psychology, optical illusions and confusion. A series of interactive installations demonstrate how reality can be manipulated through a combination of science and magic.

That's About The Size of It // Smock Alley Theatre @ 12 & 5 Dr.Niamh Shaw and theatre-maker Una Kavanagh team up in theatre and science group TATSOI to explore the human quest for the Higgs Particle. It's a biographical live art science installation that promises to impress and deliver.
