Fancy a Night in Downton Abbey?

Fancy a Night in Downton Abbey?

Highclere Castle

Highclere Castle is world famous as the home of ITV’s Downton Abbey with its magical curse where all men who cross the threshold fall in love with Lady Mary’s complaining ways. While we have a love/hate relationship with the never-ending drama – love that sassy granny, hate Hugh Bonneville’s character and his spurning of actual medical advice while his daughter died in front of him – one has to admit that Castle/Abbey is one impressive gaff.

Now you and up to five other friends can spend the night there with Christie’s offering a one-night stay for deep pocketed folk. Bids start at €10,000 and the money raised will go to charities helping veterans and victims of war. The winning bidder gets to stay in Lady Edith and Lady Grantham’s chambers and will dine and enjoy cocktails with the Castle’s current owners, the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon.

Breakfast included.
