Dubliners 100

New and established writers come up with ‘cover versions’ of Joyce’s stories

100 years after its publication this is a timely and apt riff off Joyce’s classic text, Dubliners. Bringing together some of the most impressive emerging literary talents over recent years, the collection includes contributions by Elske Rahill, Eimear McBride (Baileys Prize winner since yester-night), Sam Coll, Paul Murray, Donal Ryan, and Belinda McKeon, as well as featuring a story by Patrick McCabe. Edited by Thomas Morris, Editor of the Stinging Fly and long-time Lilliput Press presence,Dubliners 100 looks at the city and the lives it contains, through the eyes of a new generation of literary talent, giving it relevance whilst paying homage to Joyce’s legacy. Whatsmore, published by newcomer Tramp Press, run by Sarah Davis-Goff and Lisa Coen, the collection is further testament to the energy and vitality of the new wave of Irish publishers and writers. Bravo say us.

Dubliners 100 launches tonight at 7 pm in the Grand Social
