Dr Do-It-All: Dr Hazel Wallace On What She Goes Nuts For

Dr Hazel Wallace is debunking one health myth at a time. Niamh Crawford-Walker meets the junior doctor who says it's time to ditch the diet books.

Scroll through Hazel Wallace's Instagram, and you could be forgiven for assuming that with 130k followers and the coveted verified blue tick, she's just another young Instagram star. Look again and you'll see her CV includes qualified junior doctor, personal trainer and in a matter of weeks, published author. And here she divulges her faves from her mums homemade apple crumble to her signature dish of fruity chicken curry.

Food...?Miso aubergine or sushi is my current obsession.

Dining out in London...?There's a really good brunch spot called The Good Life Eatery not far from Oxford Circus.

Easy eating on the go...?Don't make it too complicated, and bulk cook meals. Chuck loads of roasted vegetables in the oven, choose your protein, and portion that out throughout the week.

Indulging...?Dark chocolate is my weakness, but the ultimate comfort food is my mum's homemade apple crumble with custard and ice cream.

Unwinding...?Other than going to the gym, I love putting on the fire and reading a good book.

Music...?My gym bag is definitely stocked with my Beats by Dre wireless headphones

Balance...?My number one tip for staying happy and healthy is making time for the people that you love in life.

Her signature dish...I make a really good fruity chicken curry.

Good advice...?The best piece of advice I've ever received was ?Failure is not final?. If you fall down, get back up.
