Cork Coffee: Gulp’d

Cork Coffee: Gulp’d

Tucked away in the newly refurbished Triskel Arts church you’ll find Gulp’d. The name is a play on the independent record store upstairs, Plug’d, a small and treasured Corkonian staple. After the record store closed down a few years ago, it came back due to popular demand from music lovers all over the county. Now, the cafe and record store compliment each other beautifully; record browsers will stop off in Gulp’d for a little fuel en route, while the record store’s masterminds provide an excellent soundtrack, club nights and general cool-kid crowd. The vibe in Gulp’d is laid back, all Stockholm-chic decor. Food is simply rich soups, sturdy sambos, stout cakes, excellent coffees and a vegan option or two (much appreciated in the dessert department.) We love the mix of artists and musicians with families and friends – everyone is cool in Gulp’d.
