The Dublin Dance Festival starts next week and we can’t keep still

Worth jotting down in the old agenda every year, the Dublin Dance Festival is back with its characteristically excellent line-up of international and homegrown acts, with the additional odd ball for good measure. Among the highlights of the program is Fishamble’s play Swing, performed and written by Janet Moran, which after receiving rave reviews at last year’s Fringe Festival, is back from an American tour. The premise here is ‘swing classes? for those who can’t dance ironically. Gracing The Ark with their comic and brilliant magical dancing bags, will be French company Non Nova with L?apres-midi d?un Foehn, whilst UK contemporary circus troupe supreme, Gandini Juggling will be bringing their edge and show-stoppers to town with Smashed. Our tip for one to watch this year comes in the form of Liv O’Donoghue.
