Turns out Leighton Meester has a lot of multi-talented strings to her bow?

The actress formerly known as Blair Waldorf is about to release her debut LP. Leighton Meester just finished a stint on Broadway where she was starring opposite our own Chris O’Dowd in an acclaimed production of Of Mice and Men and while most people would take a well-earned break after such a career victory, the Gossip Girl actress decides time for an album. Heartstrings is officially released October 28^th and Billboard just got the exclusive on the title track. Meester spoke to Billboard, ‘Heartstrings’ speaks to vibe and encompasses a lot of the themes of the rest of the album? It’s been a long time coming and I’m very excited to finally release it.”

We’re big Leighton fans and have suspected a future musical career ever since she guested on Cobra Starships Good Girls Go Bad and starred opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in Country Strong.
