BAFTA 2019: All the winners

The BAFTAs are the last awards ceremony before the big guns come out in the form of the Oscars, and it hasn't strayed far from the winners we've seen all awards season.

The Favourite took home the most awards with seven, including both actress categories for Rachel Weisz and Olivia Colman and best original screenplay with the film also taking home prizes for best production design, best costume design, best hair & makeup and the outstanding British film prize. Roma came in second with four prizes, including best director for Alfonso Cuaron, best film not in the English language, and best cinematography.

The leading actor prize went to Rami Malek for Bohemian Rhapsody while it was a delight to see Colman nab her trophy for leading actress - she also had one of the most delightfully endearing speeches of the evening - as Glenn Close could very well be awarded the Oscar as a tribute to her decades-long career.

Black Panther star Letitia Wright won the 2019 Bafta Rising Star award, voted for by the public, and had one of the most emotive and inspiring speeches of the evening, opening up about a period of depression where she thought about giving up on her career. Success she says will always be a work in progress and you can be any age to achieve it.

"This wasn’t an overnight thing,” she said. “This wasn’t a click of a finger. Success is a work in progress. I’m still a work in progress.”
