Social media users have been sharing the minor yet ever-so-annoying things their parents say – and we can relate in a big way 


What began as a general conversation starter has exploded into a viral Twitter thread. A social media user by the name of Jamie asked his followers, “Is there something trivial that your parents say that really annoys you for no good reason? My mum accidentally calling Pets at Home ‘Pets City’ for the past 12 years is right up there,” he added.

Since then, responses have been flooding in from people all over the world. From parents using ‘CSI’ to describe any crime show, to calling Timotei shampoo ‘TimmetyToo’ – here are some of our favourite (and relatable) replies so far:
