Last Thursday evening saw the Kilkenny Shop on bustling Nassau St truly earn its reputation as a hub of excellence and taste when it comes to Irish design with an evening celebration as part of the annual Kilkenny Irish Craft & Design Week, proudly supported by AXA.

irish design event guest

This week runs nationwide across all Kilkenny Shops each year and toasts the best of Irish design – buying Irish isn’t just good citizenship, it’s good taste, too as the Kilkenny Shop proves season upon season. Guests included Sonya Lennon of Frockadvisor, also the week’s ambassador, and Bairbre Power of the Independent as well as Brian McGee of the Crafts Council of Ireland. After 51 years in the business, the Kilkenny Shop now boasts the largest collection of Irish designers.
