We’ve been eyeing up these Irish AirBnb cabins that will let us get close to nature.

If you’ve been cooped up in the city, whether it’s in an apartment or just a built-up area, you might be craving a slice of nature. AirBnb has loads of great Irish cabins that offer the chance to totally immerse yourself in their rural landscapes. Here are 6 ones we love the look of.

Ballina, Co Tipperary

This stylish cabin is located near a popular walking trail, so it’s ideal if you want to be surrounded by nature. An outdoor terrace gives you the option of alfresco dining with gorgeous forest views, while the indoor space oozes cool Scandi vibes. The cabin sleeps up to six people, and is listed at €89 per night in August, with a minimum two-night stay.

Ballyshannon, Co Donegal

This eco-cabin is ideal for those who really want to get away from it all. Located in Knader forest, it has no electricity or Wi-fi, allowing you to really get back to basics. There is a shared kitchen in a main building 300 metres away. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy, including canoeing, hiking and horse riding. It sleeps up to five people, and costs €99 a night in June.

Boyle, Co Roscommon

For a true rural escape, this cute cabin is a great option. Located on a farm, it has a vegetable garden, and hens that you can feed, and even two resident donkeys. There are also lakes and woods nearby to explore. You can stay from €52 a night, and the cabin sleeps up to four people.

With spectacular views of the Glenveagh National Park, this cabin is located in a Gaeltacht area of Donegal. An outdoor terrace, a wood-burning stove and handcrafted and upcycled furniture all make for a perfect Irish escape. With a five night minimum, this isn’t one for a weekend break, but is available for €75 a night.

Glenealy, Co Wicklow

If you want a cosy hideaway without sacrificing your home comforts, this cabin is perfect for you. Equipped with Egyptian cotton bed linen, Nespresso machine, as well as an outdoor gas burner and fire pit, it has everything you need to unwind. Situated just 15 minutes from Mount Usher gardens and 25 minutes from Glendalough, it also has plenty of beautiful natural attractions to enjoy. It’s listed at €85 a night in July and sleeps two people.

Whitegate, Co Clare

With gorgeous waterside views, this boathouse would make a cosy escape for two, and has plenty of nautical themed decorations. It’s listed at €150 a night in June, and sleeps two people.
