Design Award nominees announced in new Image Interiors & Living edition (out now!)

As we bid farewell to summer, it's time to embrace a new season filled with warmth, colour and plethora of Irish creative talent.

Autumn // Workshops // Glass

With the crisp air and rich golden hues that come with the late summer season, we're primed for cosy materials, plenty of layering and nesting ideas in the September/October issue of Image Interiors & Living. Plus, we pick the cream of the crop for the latest batch of Irish design graduates and get in the studio with illustrator Nigel Peake as he hand draws on glass for a collaboration with J. Hill's Standard.

To top it all off, we are simply bursting with excitement for our ever-anticipated Design Awards which presents the shortlist for the favourites in Irish design and craft.

Home Theatre

Home technology might be something that goes right over your head but everyone can appreciate a good movie night in.

Nathalie Marquez Courtney breaks down what you need to know about the latest televisions, sound and light systems to create the perfect cinema set-up.

The Houses

Our cover star (above) is a perfect representation of modern excellence. With a family-first concept in mind, the owners and Aughey O’Flaherty architects were determined to keep as much of the natural charm and history of the Georgian structure as possible.

Then, we fly over to Brisbane and the home of Australian artist Keith Burt and Irish-born Tarragh Cunningham. With an eclectic taste and a flavour for natural, earthy tones their reinvented cottage is a dream for interior lovers.

Finally, on the back of three decades in Manhattan working in high-end real-estate, Amanda Sawyer and her husband David returned to Ireland and took on their dream home. Newly renovated, their Limerick dwelling is a melange of mid-century styling, contemporary art, antique finds and bundles of personal touches.

Mosaic Master

We meet Julie Fallon of Opus Mosaic in Belfast, in whose studio fantastical pieces are made of broken glass and ceramics. Working on everything from shower walls to commercial floors and restoration, Julie lets us in on a day in her life.

The Image Interiors & Living September/October issue is on shelves August 15, or available for purchase here.
