We’re loving the antidote to our modern age of mass-production with the launch of CultureCraft, which opened last week at the National Craft Gallery in Kilkenny. The exhibition showcases the work of 36 makers, who range from weavers to carpenters, with beautiful (and sometimes quirky) objects that celebrate Irish culture from a contemporary perspective.

The exhibition aims to illustrate our history and the human face of Irish craft today, with each artist giving something of themselves in the objects they shape, making culture, identity and nationality intrinsic components of craftsmanship.

CultureCraft Culture in the Making runs from January 21 until March 19.?
