Binge-worthy interiors: looks inspired by your favourite Netflix shows

Whether your current obsession is the Regency-era grandeur of Bridgerton or the vibrant shades of the 1960s scenes in The Queen’s Gambit, we’ve found some pieces to help you channel the look.

It’s fair to say that most of us have dedicated a lot of time to Netflix over the last few weeks. If you’re hearing the streaming service’s characteristic “dah dun” opening sound in your sleep, you’re not alone.

With not much else to do in lockdown, we’ve made our way through some great series, and with them, inhabited these different times and places for a few hours (anything to feel like you’re leaving the house). Some of our favourite series have really gorgeous sets that have got us thinking about ways to incorporate a touch of their style into our homes.

This Regency period drama has a refreshing flourish of Shonda Rhimes’ signature aesthetic, with bright colours and adaptions of contemporary songs embellishing the more traditional details. To bring a touch of this fun yet elegant style, look for floral patterns and ornate detail, but don’t be afraid of brighter, modern touches.

Viewers of this fascinating drama were treated to some wonderful mid-century interiors. Beth’s 1960s home in particular is full of saturated shades and bold patterns, so to embrace this look forget about clean, modern lines and lean into layering colours and embrace checks and florals.

This may be a thrilling series about a mastermind thief, but set against a backdrop of Paris, with plenty of focus on art and jewellery, it’s got us dreaming of a wander around the French capital’s flea-markets, looking for a bargain. It’s definitely off the cards for now, but antique-style pieces will at least help us feel like we’re there.
