3 sweetly finished tiny homes for sale in Cork, Wexford and Dublin for under €185,000

For when location is paramount and space less so, these tiny homes in Ireland can be snapped up and ready to move into for under €185,000.

Whether you’re looking to buy your first home, downsize or simply get some real-life ideas from tiny homes in Ireland, there is a lot to be uncovered from a quick cyber house hunt in your area or price bracket.

I know, because I live in a tiny house (43 square metres) and regularly peruse homes for sale online to see exactly how they squeezed in a second bathroom and where they store their bins (sad, but true).

Mostly, I just love to peek at the interiors of small homes. People tend to be so much more adventurous with small spaces because they have to do so much in them. They’re living rooms and utilities and storage spaces and dining rooms all wrapped into a single 6 x 4 metres space.

All three of these tiny homes in Ireland have been finished beautifully, whether with modern furnishings or a kooky style. So if location is the most important thing for you but you can’t hack the thought of ripping up old carpets and textured wallpaper, these three terrace homes in Dublin, Cork and Wexford town might be for you.

13 Greenmount Buildings, Cork City
€175,000

This adorable little one-bed terrace on a quiet cul de sac is just a short skip to UCC and the city centre. It’s been super efficiently redesigned and modernised by its current owners who bought it in 2017.

It has a front hallway, very unusual for a house of this size (54 square metres) which opens onto a snug little living and dining area. Though the kitchen is small, it packs in a lot with ample worktop space (also a rarity) and even a little breakfast bar.

To the rear is a utility area (the dream!) and a modern bathroom, as well as a recently decked courtyard. Upstairs is a large and airy bedroom in the eaves with plenty of space for a double bed and wardrobes.

2 Lambert Place, Wexford Town
€165,000

Just a few minutes walk from Wexford Town’s Main Street, this adorable two-bedroom terrace house is a little bit more modern than the first. It comes with some extra room too with two floors over a basement. The communal space on the ground floor is well-lit thanks to large windows and a new kitchen has been added, as well as fresh flooring throughout.

There is a small courtyard to the rear and a large shower room also located on the ground floor. Upstairs hosts two double bedrooms, while the basement has the possibilities of making it a four-bed. Now, it currently operates as a clever little cinema room and storage.

31 Kings Avenue, Ballybough, Dublin 3
€185,000

This house is the smallest, coming in at 37 square metres, and also the most expensive, thanks to its capital-city location. However, there is lots to like about this teeny tiny house, not least because the narrowness offers a dual aspect that floods the home with light from either end.

The ground floor holds a living room and kitchen with a spiral staircase leading to a double bedroom and bathroom. It’s been recently renovated and there’s also a small yard to the rear.
